Aluminium Stair Nosing 56mm x 32mm Anti Slip PVC Edge Trim

This profile is made from an aluminium channel with the option of insert material for the tread and riser to achieve a stronger contrasting solid band colour. This was designed to meet the recommendations in Approved Document M and BS8300:2009+A1:2010 to achieve a slip resistant surface ideal for use where no surface floor coverings are used or resilient flooring is to be used.  When picking the insert colours for the step, make sure the difference in the Light Reflective Value of the floor covering and stair nosing itself are greater than a factor of 30. External grade Insert .Tredsafe insert is made from a special blend of P.V.C., silica quartz, and polymeric plasticiser meaning that it has a homogeneous and hard-wearing anti-slip flooring for wet and dry conditions. The pyramid pattern in 3D provides excellent slip resistance performance for both wet and dry conditions.

Set-up.

  • The stairs must be dry, clean, free of debris, and level and even.
  • If holes are pre-drilled, set drill steps for drilling location with.
  • Drill then Plug the Steps.
  • Place nosing carefully onto the step and smooth down securely with your hand size spanner. 
  • Use the appropriate screws to fasten the step down.
  • Use a cover on the screw head if a separate insert is not present.

Note: This profile is pre-drilled and comes with small pips to seal the holes.
