56mm x 55mm Aluminium Commercial Stair Nosing Anti Slip Edge Trim

This Profile features an aluminum channel and gives the choice of insert material for the tread and riser to achieve a strong contrasting solid band of colour. Designed to comply with the guidelines set out in Approved Document M and BS8300: 2009 + A1: 2010, these nosings are ideal for use anywhere surface floor coverings are not used or in resilient flooring. When selecting insert colour(s) reference should be made to the respective Light Reflective Value of the surrounding e.g. floor covering and the stair nosing itself. The difference in these values should be greater than a factor of 30. External grade Insert.Tredsafe insert are manufactured from a special blend of P.V.C., silica quartz and polymeric plasticiser giving an homogeneous hard wearing anti-slip flooring for wet and dry conditions. This three-dimensional pyramid pattern is engineered to prevent skidding whether the surface is wet or dry.

Set up.

  • Verify that stairs are both clean, dry, and free of debris.
  • Should the holes be pre-drilled, use them to mark steps for holes.
  • Steps to Drill and Plug.
  • Put an appropriate glue on the bottom of the nosing and apply this to the step.
  • Tighten the step using screws of the correct size.
  • Use insert (if separate) or insert pip so the screw head is covered.

 

Note: This profile comes with holes already in place and small pips to cover said holes.
