67mm x 55mm Aluminium Stair Nosing Anti Slip PVC Insert

This Profile consists of an aluminum channel with a choice of insert material for the tread and riser so that a stronger contrasting solid band of color can be achieved. It has been designed to meet the guidance in Approved Document M and BS8300:2009+A1:2010, and is therefore ideal for use where no surface floor coverings are used or a resilient floor covering is. When choosing the color of the insert(s) reference should be made to the respective Light Reflective Value of the floor covering surrounding the stair nosing and the stair nosing itself the difference in these values should be greater than a factor of 30. External grade Insert. Tredsafe insert is manufactured from a special blend of P.V.C., silica quartz and a polymeric plasticiser giving an homogeneous hard wearing anti-slip flooring for wet and dry conditions. The pyramid structure that is designed in three dimensional form provides high slip resistant properties.

Setup

  • Make sure the steps are dry, clean, free of debris, level and even.
  • If already drilled, use the holes to mark the steps to drill.
  • Use a drill to plug. 
  • Apply the right adhesive to the bottom part of the nosing and apply the nosing to the step.
  • Secure the step using correctly sized screws.
  • Use the insert pip or insert (if separate) for covering the screw head.

 

Note: This profile comes pre-drilled and includes small peg-like stickers to cover the holes.
