Durable Stone Grey Anti Slip Stair Tread Covers for Stairways

The minimum you will need when installing Stop Slip GRP products is standard personal protective equipment. To ensure your safety, you should wear overalls, heavy duty gloves, safety goggles and a 3M mask. The cutting process should take place in a well-ventilated area or at extraction points.   Normal waste disposal methods can be used to dispose of the dust residue.

Preparation

Check the area for cleanliness, dryness, and freedom from loose and defective material before fitting. It is advisable to repair any uneven areas that are pitted or damaged so they are flat. Make sure the stair tread, landing cover, flat sheet or nosing fits well in its dry-fit position and sits flat to the surface. We recommend using the Jigsaw fitted with a tungsten carbide blade (Bosch T141 HM or similar) or, for more localised trimming, a diamond cutting disc fitted to an angle grinder.

Stair treads, landings, flat sheets, and nosing can be cut to your desired size, and can have fixing points, pre-drilled and counter sunk before dispatch (at additional charge). Exact measurements must be submitted upon ordering.

Make holes for fixing their locations in all panels. Although personal situations may differ, this guideline can be used for reference only. 

Stair Tread Covers

Make two holes at equal distance on edges of Stop Slip Stair Tread. Here’s a helpful hint: Use the first drilled tread cover as a template, so you ensure conformity for the remaining panel drilling.

Although mechanical fixings are all that’s needed to secure Stop Slip anti slip products, it is recommended that appropriate high strength gap filling adhesive (PU230 or similar) is applied as this will provide the following benefits.
