Description
Tactile Corduroy Warning Surface for Pedestrian Guidance
GRP Tactile Paving warns blind pedestrians of the presence of hazardous surfaces such as railway stations, pedestrian crossings and stairs. It serves as a warning to approaching hazards.
In-line Blister Paving
Blister GRP Tactile Paving indicates a road crossing with a curbless height of less than 25mm. The surfacing plays an important safety function by indicating where a footway ends and the carriageway begins. Wheelchair users can also cross roads easily due to the tiling.
Off-Set Blister Paving (Platform Edge Warning Surface)
Level-topped domes lined up in even rows, parallel to the direction of travel of the coach. Any colour (other than red) can be used for the surface to provide contrast to assist people with partial sight.
Corduroy Paving
This surface indicates hazards such as a step, level crossing or sighting the stop of a street light rapid transit (LRT).
