Along with the function of step edge protection the range offers an easy energy efficient solution to illuminate steps. In the event of a local or emergency power outage on the stairways, it heightens the hazard risk for evacuating individuals. As such, this system allows the evacuee to orientate, locate the stair edge and risers, and assist in safely evacuating the premises. The system can be installed quickly and does not require any electrical connection. It requires maintenance but just the regular maintenance you would conduct on any similar product. The normal light source of daylight white fluorescent or standard tungsten filament activates its performance. The silicone carbide is extremely hard wearing and slip resistant. It is suitable for external use. Silica carbide is suitable for commercial and domestic use. The diverse range can be used on a wide variety of substrates such as concrete, timber, tiles, vinyl, steel and checker plate with inserts available in a wide array of colours promoting the visibility while complimenting the aesthetics.

Set up.

• Make sure the steps are dry, clean, debris-free, level, and even.
• Using the drill holes will mark steps for drilling location if pre-drilled.
• Drill and plug the steps.
• Put suitable adhesive underneath the nosing and put the nosing on the step.
• Use screws with the right size to screw down the step. 
• Cover the screw head by applying insert (if separate) or insert pip.

Note: This profile is pre-drilled with small pips to cover the holes.
